1982 Matchbox SS 100 Jaguar

The SS Jaguar 100 is a 2-seat sports car built from 1936 to 1939 by the British company, SS Cars (formerly Swallow Sidecar, established in 1922 to produce motorcycle sidecars). In 1945, SS Cars formally changed its name to Jaguar Cars Limited. The SS Jaguar 100 had a 2663 cc straight-6 with overhead valves and twin carbs mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The lightweight and sporty roadster could get very close to the advertised 100 mph (as long as the windscreen was down.)

The Matchbox SS 100 Jaguar was first released in 1982 and was produced up to 1991 in about 6 different variations. This super clean, early, England-cast version is another of my scores from my Wichita eBay friend.
